Comic Book: The Movie (DVD, 2012, Canadian)

As it follows its main character Don Swan (Mark Hamill) a grade-school teacher/filmmaker this parody pokes fun at both the film and comic book industries. Comic books with their action-packed plots striking visuals and universal stories of good vs. evil always have provided fertile ground for potential film blockbusters. This film follows Swan as he attends a comic book convention (filmed on location at Comic-con in San Diego California) to film a DVD documentary featurette about a comic book CODENAME: COURAGE slated to become a blockbuster. What the studio doesn't know is that Swan is an obsessive fan of the comic and has his own agenda for the documentary.
